Top Navigation and Maps Apps in El Salvador Q2 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of top navigation and maps applications in El Salvador on a unified platform showed varied trends, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a consistent number of weekly downloads initially increasing from about 10.2K to a peak of 13.7K in late April, before declining to 8.2K by the end of June. Weekly active users started at approximately 265K, rising to a high of 282K in mid-April, and then gradually decreased to around 262K.

Google Maps experienced steady weekly downloads, peaking at 4.3K in late May. Active users showed a similar pattern, starting at 310K and reaching 365K in the same period before slightly dropping to 325K by the end of the quarter.

Google Earth maintained a modest download rate, with a notable spike to 2.2K in mid-June. Active users fluctuated, beginning at 7.1K and peaking at 8K in June, before settling at 6.8K.

GPS Map Driving Directions showed an interesting pattern with downloads peaking at 4.3K in early May, followed by a decrease. Active users mirrored this trend, increasing from 132 to 4.1K in early May, then declining to 2.2K.

Finally, Offline Maps, GPS, Speedometer had weekly downloads starting at 1.6K, peaking at 1.7K in late May, and then dropping to 661 by the end of June. Active users showed a similar trend, reaching a high of 2.7K in late May before ending at 2.3K.
